The dialysis loop without dead zones is made from plastic or stainless steel. The endless plastic conduits are laid with gentle curves through the corners of the rooms. An advantage of the endless conduit is the prevention of dead zones resulting from connecting elbows. Additionally, the energy loss with plastic conduits during heat disinfection is very low, due to the low thermal conductivity of the material. The stainless steel conduits are polished with little surface roughness. Elbows are joined by orbital welding to guarantee a smooth connection without dead zones.
